Gamifying Education

I purposely held off on this quest after watching the video to get a sense or feel of this new way of teaching for myself. Well, after three weeks of this new teaching GameLab education style, I would have to say I like it. I personal enjoy the teaching up method over the teaching down tradition way I am use to. Change can not be stopped or ignored in education and we all know that kids of today are not the kids of the past like my generation. Its a sense of, I must earn or work to get the grade I want in this class. Not, here is your A, lets see if you can maintain the A. In my opinion its like work or real life today. For most of us nothing is free and one must work hard and make the right decisions to be a successful person. I recently brought this question up and talked/shared this experience with my pops and asked him if he agreed. His one remark was that kids today have it way to easy. We both concluded that kids of today don`t have a sense of urgency and take way too many things for granted. I also think that Gamifying Education system will produce competition between students to see who is on top or in the lead just like the video game culture that we all are growing up with.
